A few years ago I spent quite a lot of time on this game - I have C64 and PC US versions in boxes, and I can only say that IntraCorp did not a veru good job on adapting the game by Bertrand Brocard! For example, the original passengers list had about 400 names, while the US version only has 40...
So, the best version to play would be the 1986 French edition for Amstrad CPC. I have not played the German edition, but even the UK C64 1987 edition is somewhat bugged and abridged, to say nothing of the US 1988 edition.
