Die ersten Fans drohten schon mit Liebesentzug und Boykott, als bekannt wurde, dass 'The Longest Journey 2' ein "Action-Adventure" werden sollte. In seinem Weblog stellte der geistige Vater von April Ryan und Co. nun klar, dass das Spiel aber garantiert ein Adventure und kein Actiontitel werde. Auch der bisherige Untertitel '.static' werde sich vermutlich noch ändern.
